biography
Amina Sendic-Mesic is a professor of Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian languages and literatures. She earned her degree from the University of Sarajevo and later obtained a Master’s in Human Resources Development from Northeastern University in Chicago.
In 2012, she founded the Bosnian School at BECCA Center, where she dedicated 10 years to educating multiple generations of students and fostering linguistic and cultural understanding. She also served as an Instructor at ICA Language Services, where she planned, prepared, and delivered personalized instruction in Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian for diplomatic personnel. Her work included designing instructional materials and adapting lesson plans to suit individualized learning needs.
Additionally, Prof. Amina worked as a Bosnian, Serbian, and Croatian Court Interpreter, providing critical interpretation services in legal settings. She facilitated communication in court proceedings by translating witness testimony, attorney arguments, and judicial orders. Her expertise ensured accurate and seamless linguistic interpretation during hearings and legal discussions.
